If you research peptides, you have seen Janoshik named on Certificates of Analysis everywhere, and for good reason. Janoshik Analytical is the most widely used independent peptide testing lab in the research community. Here is what it actually does and how to read and verify one of its reports.
What Janoshik is
Janoshik Analytical is an independent analytical chemistry lab based in Europe that tests research compounds, including peptides. The key word is independent. It has no commercial relationship with the vendors whose products it tests, which is what makes its results meaningful rather than marketing.
What its testing covers
For peptides, Janoshik runs HPLC to measure purity, mass spectrometry to confirm the compound is what it claims to be, and on request, sterility and endotoxin testing. Those last two matter for anything studied in a sterile context. The results are published as a Certificate of Analysis.
How to verify a Janoshik COA
Every Janoshik report carries a unique report number. That number is the verification. You can confirm a report directly with the lab rather than trusting a PDF at face value, which protects you against the altered Certificates of Analysis that float around the space. Always check that the report number is present and that the report ties to the specific batch you are buying.
Our peptides are Janoshik tested
Peptide Hackers tests every batch with Janoshik. HPLC verified purity, mass spectrometry confirmation, and a report you can actually check. See a live Certificate of Analysis on our COA page, compare the labs in our Chromate vs Janoshik breakdown, and read the full third-party testing guide.
