Mechanism of Action
Semax (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro), an ACTH(4-10) analog, and Selank (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro), a tuftsin analog, were each tested as separate treatment arms (not combined) against placebo in a 52-participant resting-state fMRI study, showing distinct effects on functional connectivity between the right amygdala and right temporal cortex (PMID: 32342318). No located study tested the two compounds co-administered.
