CJC-1295
PH-CJC1295-001
Specifications
Description
CJC-1295 is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) with a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) that extends its half-life. This long-acting peptide produces sustained elevation of GH and IGF-1 levels.
Mechanism of Action
CJC-1295 binds to GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotrophs, stimulating sustained GH release. The DAC modification enables binding to serum albumin, dramatically extending the half-life to 6-8 days (Teichman et al., 2006). This produces continuous GH elevation rather than pulsatile release.
Research Applications
- Long-acting GH secretion studies (Teichman et al., 2006)
- IGF-1 elevation and sustained GH research
- Body composition and metabolic studies
- Growth hormone axis modulation
- Combined with GHRP synergy studies
