Description
GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide and one of the first-generation growth-hormone-releasing peptides. It's a strong secretagogue that works through the ghrelin receptor, and it also raises appetite signaling.
Mechanism
It binds the ghrelin / growth-hormone-secretagogue receptor and triggers pulsatile GH release from the pituitary. Its GH-release activity has been used in research on GH-axis function (Popovic et al., 1996; Mazza et al., 1997).
Research Applications
- GH-axis and secretagogue pharmacology (Popovic et al., 1996)
- Ghrelin receptor signaling
- Appetite and feeding research
- GH-response studies (Mazza et al., 1997)

Storage & Handling
Storage
GHRP-6 is supplied as a lyophilized powder. Keep it sealed, dry, and away from light until reconstitution.
Reconstitution
Let the vial reach room temperature before opening, then add solvent slowly down the vial wall — do not shake.
Stability
Lyophilized material is stable when frozen. Once reconstituted, keep it cold and minimise handling to preserve integrity.
Research Overview
GHRP-6 is a synthetic peptide compound used in laboratory research settings. Researchers studying growth hormone releasing hormone pathways use this compound to investigate cellular signaling pathways, receptor binding affinities, and structure-activity relationships. Each batch is manufactured under controlled conditions and verified through HPLC and mass spectrometry analysis to ensure consistency across experimental replicates.

Frequently Asked Questions
What purity is GHRP-6?
Each lot of GHRP-6 is verified to ≥99% by HPLC and confirmed by mass spectrometry. Results are documented in a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis.
Does GHRP-6 include a Certificate of Analysis?
Yes. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for GHRP-6 documents its purity and identity and is available on our COA page.
How should GHRP-6 be stored?
GHRP-6 is supplied as a lyophilized powder. For short-term storage keep it refrigerated; for long-term storage keep it frozen, away from light and moisture.
How is GHRP-6 shipped?
Orders ship at a $15 flat rate, free on orders over $199, in discreet, insulated packaging. Domestic delivery typically takes 1–3 business days.
Can GHRP-6 be used on humans or animals?
No. GHRP-6 is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not for human or veterinary use, consumption, or diagnostic or clinical applications.
