GHRP-2
PH-GHRP2-001
Specifications
Description
GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2) is a synthetic hexapeptide that stimulates growth hormone release by activating the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a). This potent GH secretagogue also increases appetite.
Mechanism of Action
GHRP-2 activates the ghrelin receptor on pituitary somatotrophs, triggering GH release. Studies show robust GH responses in adolescents (Onuki et al., 2024) and the peptide is used clinically for GH stimulation testing (Ghigo et al., 1997).
Research Applications
- Growth hormone secretion studies (Onuki et al., 2024)
- GH axis diagnostics (Ghigo et al., 1997)
- Appetite regulation research
- Combined GHRH/GHRP synergy

Research Overview
GHRP-2 is a synthetic peptide compound used in laboratory research settings. Researchers studying growth hormone releasing hormone pathways use this compound to investigate cellular signaling pathways, receptor binding affinities, and structure-activity relationships. Each batch is manufactured under controlled conditions and verified through HPLC and mass spectrometry analysis to ensure consistency across experimental replicates.
