PEG-MGF
PH-PEGMGF-001
Specifications
Description
PEG-MGF (PEGylated Mechano Growth Factor) is a modified form of MGF with polyethylene glycol conjugation to extend its biological half-life. This modification enhances systemic stability for research applications.
Mechanism of Action
PEG-MGF retains the satellite cell-activating properties of native MGF while the PEG moiety extends half-life from minutes to hours. The E domain of MGF peptide is anti-apoptotic and a stem cell homing factor (Doroudian et al., 2014). MGF-E peptide significantly increases the proliferative life span and delays senescence of satellite cells, enhancing their fusion potential for muscle repair (Kandalla et al., 2011).
Research Applications
- Extended MGF activity studies (Doroudian et al., 2014)
- Systemic muscle repair research
- PEGylation pharmacokinetics
- Satellite cell activation (Kandalla et al., 2011)
- Cardiac regeneration research
